Compliance assurance notification for our patients

To our valued patients,

In order to prevent the misuse of personal health information, we want you to know that all of our employees and doctors have undergone training so that they may understand and comply with government rules and regulations regarding the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. Superior Pain Solutions strives to achieve the very highest of standards of ethics and integrity in performing services for our patients.

The Administrative Simplification provisions of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA, Title II) required the Department of Health and Human Services to establish national standards for electronic health care transactions and national identifiers for providers, health plans, and employers. It also addressed the security and privacy of health data. As the industry adopts these standards for the efficiency and effectiveness of the nation’s health care system will improve the use of electronic data interchange. These provisions were put in place due to misuse of personal health information which was identified as a national problem in 1996. Superior Pain Solutions is in compliance with government rules and regulations regarding the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.
